Kirstens Wagner is an artist and designer. She studied visual design at the FH Darmstadt. She now lives and works in Berlin.
Her visual work focuses on the medium of paper.
Kirsten is fascinated by its delicate, clear and independent materiality. Paper is not only basis for the color application, but self-confidently interacts with the applied pigment.
She complements wet paper in glazing layers. She navigates delicate color gradients with sharp brushwork. She scrapes pigment from dry surfaces.
Her paintings exist in a place between nature study and fluid abstraction.
